The current print

CL-FCR is the median normalized hourly list price of every eligible offer in the latest public-cloud snapshot. It gives researchers, buyers and agents a compact answer to a narrow question: what is the center of currently advertised frontier GPU capacity?

VALUE$4.41
RANGE$2.59–$16.00
COVERAGE3P / 9O

Observed: 2026-09-03. Last checked: 3 SEPT 2026, 22:02. Compute Ledger rechecks after the one-hour cache expires; the underlying open dataset currently publishes daily.

How it is constructed

Median of every eligible normalized offer across the H100 family, H200, MI300X and B300 in the current public-cloud snapshot. Each multi-GPU plan is divided by its reported GPU count before calculation.

The rate is expressed in US dollars per individual GPU-hour. A multi-GPU plan is divided by its reported GPU count before the median is calculated, so an eight-GPU server total is not compared directly with a one-GPU instance.

What enters the index

  • H100 family
  • H200
  • MI300X
  • B300

Eligible source model strings are published in the machine-readable market contract, allowing another system to reproduce the calculation from the same normalized offers.

What this number is not

REFERENCE INDEX · NOT TRADEABLE

CL-FCR is not an executed-transaction benchmark, an investable product, an executable quote or the settlement value of a derivative. Hardware mix, geography, availability, networking, software and service terms remain meaningful basis risk.

Provider coverage can change from one snapshot to the next. The displayed range, provider count, offer count, observation date and freshness state should travel with the value whenever it is cited.

Use and cite the data

The canonical machine record is the first object in the indices array of the market API. Preserve symbol, value, unit, observed_at, coverage_status, provider_count, offer_count, source_url and tradeable=false.
